The Golden State Warriors are seemingly set to dominate the NBA landscape for years to come. All of their players are in their prime, they have four All-Stars and three All-NBA players, all under contract for years to come. Due to this, teams and players around the league are probably thinking that this team could win the next three or four championships.

One of the players that agrees with this is Brooklyn Nets forward Trevor Booker. Booker enjoyed a good season, averaging career highs in points (10.0 per game), rebounds (8.0 per game) and steals (1.1 per game). He is currently in the second season of his two-year, $18 million deal signed last summer with the Nets.

Booker joined the HoopsHype podcast with Alex Kennedy, and shared his thoughts on the Warriors dominance and its implications on the NBA.

“If everyone can stay healthy, you might as well hand them the trophy again,” Booker said. “I can understand why they say (the Warriors’ dominance) is bad for the NBA, especially for the small market teams. But at the same time it’s bringing in money. It’s bringing in a lot of money, so I’m not complaining over here. Maybe look at it from a business side. People love the Warriors. They like them winning. They like watching them. During playoff time I’m sure the (television ratings) are going to be at an all-time high. It’s good for business and the NBA is a business.”

Its hard not to agree with Booker. The ratings this past season were great and, due to the attractive style of play shown by the Dubs, people seem to enjoy their games. There is really no reason, even though there is no proper competition, why people would stop watching the league.
