The Utah Jazz took a big step back this offseason with the departure of All-Star Forward Gordon Hayward via free agency on a four-year, $128 million deal with the Boston Celtics.

In light of that move, former Jazz guard Trey Burke took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to bash the organization by stating that no superstar player wants to play with the Jazz.

Prior to this past season, the Jazz had struggled to find consistent success with four consecutive years missing the playoffs, finishing no greater than third place in the Northwest Division. In all fairness, the front office did put together some young talent that finally broke out with a 51-win campaign and reached the second round of the playoffs.

There is some credence to what Burke is stating given that the organization has yet to land a single top-tier player in free agency over the last several years. In fact, it could be argued that their last big acquisition was former All-Star forward Carlos Boozer more than a decade ago.

Whatever the reason may be, Utah hasn't exactly been an attractive destination for the top free agents each offseason. Until that changes, this perception will continue to persist over the franchise league wide.
