The Minnesota Twins have finalized their latest class of international prospects, and they brought in some of the top young talents available. In addition to No. 17 ranked prospect Yasser Mercedes and No. 35 Yilber Herrera, the Twins also managed to agree to terms with Bryan Acuña, a highly-rated shortstop who just so happens to be the younger brother of Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr.

Acuña will join the Twins on a deal worth $650,000. The shortstop is rated as the No. 39 international prospect by MLB.com, who figures to develop into a solid offensive middle infielder. Whether or not he makes the transition to second base in the future remains to be seen, but he's highly regarded by scouts, particularly as a batter.

Bryan Acuña will be the fourth member of his family to play professional baseball in the United States. His father, Ronald Sr., signed with the Mets back in 1997, though he never made the Major League team. His older brother Ronald Jr. is one of the best ballplayers in the business, looking to bounce back from an ACL injury that saw his season cut short with the Atlanta Braves, who went on to win the World Series. Bryan is also the younger sibling of Rangers prospect Luisangel Acuña, who joined the organization via international free agency in 2018.

The Twins may have a potential star on their hands in the youngest Acuña brother, but he has a long way to go until he even approaches the level of his older brother. Still, footage of the 16-year-old's swing has sent fans into a frenzy, as it shares striking similarities to that of his big bro's.
