Adidas made a huge splash on social media after they released a new Superstar collaboration with rapper Tommy Cash. The sneakers will reportedly be sold in black and white pairs and are unnecessarily long, thus earning the nickname ‘clown shoes', via Hypebeast.

The 29-year-old Estonian rapper is known by many to sport a flamboyant fashion style whenever he is appearing at events. Though Cash isn't as famous in the United States as compared to Europe, the musician has already collaborated with a bevy of artists in Charli XCX, Little Big, and A.G. Cook, among others.

Tommy Cash isn't new to the fashion industry as he currently owns his personal website which sells hoodies, shirts, and a ton of other accessories. However, his collaboration with Adidas seems to be his most intriguing item as of late.

In an interview with Tommy Cash's girlfriend, Anna-Lisa Himma, who also serves as his manager back in 2018, she revealed how the rapper always wanted to put his own flair in anything that he creates, which could already explain the rationale behind the shoe.

Via Zsofia Paulikovics of GQ:

“Tommy comes to me with the core idea of what he wants,” Himma says. “He deals a lot with the specifics of a scene, and then I filter his ideas, dress them up, and create the production design. He has a lot of crazy ideas. I’m good at creating a whole.”

Many people may not have liked the design of the sneaker but the product was certainly effective in garnering attention and stirring hype among sneaker fans, further ensuring that both Tommy Cash and Adidas will be talked about by many in the foreseeable future.
