Sometimes even the best intentioned things can be interpreted in a negative light.
Whether or not the Dallas Mavericks‘ NBA 101 class directed towards women was the best intentioned is another discussion, but either it was certainly seen in a negative light by many.

Team owner Mark Cuban gave a response to the criticism, and it actually made a lot of sense from his perspective: his customers didn't like the name change and that's more important to him than being politically correct.
