The Oakland Raiders have quickly fallen back down to Earth. After winning three games in a row to get to 6-4, they have lost their last two games by a combined score of 74-12. They were demolished by the New York Jets and the Kansas City Chiefs. In those two games, their No. 1 receiver has been non-existent.

Tyrell Williams signed a four-year, $44 million deal with $22 million guaranteed in the offseason. The 27-year old undrafted wide receiver made a name for himself with the Los Angeles Chargers and cashed in with the Raiders. In his first four games with the team, Williams got in the end zone. He then missed two games with an injury and returned in Week 8 with another touchdown.

Williams has not been in the end zone over the last five games. In their two straight blowout losses, he has combined for three catches for 27 yards. The Raiders are currently 6-6 and one game back of the second Wild-Card spot in the AFC.

There is still a chance for the Raiders to make a playoff run. Williams will need to show up over the next four games if they want to do so.

The Raiders have some talented skill position players. Rookie Josh Jacobs is looking like a long-term solution at running back. He has 1,061 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Darren Waller has emerged as a weapon at tight end. Derek Carr is starting to return to form in his second year working with head coach Jon Gruden. There is hope and a reason to be excited if you are a Raiders fan.

Of all the weapons, Williams might be the best one. At 6'4″, Williams is a physical specimen. He has the size and athleticism to win jump balls in the red zone. He can also use his speed to create separation in a route.

The Raiders have four games left on their schedule. Every game will be big and every game is winnable. They will be at home the next two weeks beginning with the Tennessee Titans before hitting the road for their final two games. Every team has an X-Factor. It is important to run the ball effectively and the Raiders can do so with Jacobs. It is also important to have a big No. 1 receiver open down the field. Moving forward, the Raiders will go as far as Williams takes them and it begins this week against the Titans.
