There's still a long way to go before the deciding of Rookie of the Year finalists is underway, but if the sports world wanted to induct an honorary candidate at the moment, Sacramento Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton would take the nomination by a landslide. With all the frenziness running amok at the U.S. Capitol right now, many NBA players new and old have taken to social media.

Yet it was Haliburton who took the golden shot at infamous right-wing commentator Tomi Lahren on Twitter, giving her a taste of her own medicine:

There could be a compilation made of all the befuddling statements Lahren has made over the course of her career, but the one that still rings true to most individuals was her comparison of the Black Lives Matter movement to the KKK.

The controversy at hand stems from the breaching of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday by Donald Trump supporters. Congress met at the Capitol in hopes of verifying electoral votes in order to continue the power of presidency transfer to President-elect Joe Biden. Be that as it may, Trump has used his Twitter War Office to rile up his disappointed fan base.

What many didn't expect was for those same angered supporters to storm the Capitol, getting as far as the Senate floor. Since the initial reporting of the embarrassing act, there have been a few individuals who have been injured as a result of the protest.

Many political colleagues of President Trump are calling for him to issue a legit announcement to his supporters in hopes of making the crowd die down, but he has only issued a few statements on Twitter.

As for Tyrese Haliburton, he's clearly fed up with Lahren, Trump and their ilk, and he's not afraid to let it be known.
