Reigning WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was in a celebratory mood on the one-year anniversary of his win over Deontay Wilder back in February 2020.

The British boxer posted a video on Instagram showing highlights of him throwing punches at Wilder and knocking him to the ground a couple of times during the match:

A year ago, Tyson Fury banked on his brute strength as he outclassed Wilder in the squared circle despite being less athletic. Wilder absorbed several huge hits from Fury but managed to get back on his legs every time he fell on the mat.

Fury then threw a series of hard-hitting combinations, which caused Wilder to bleed from his ear and mouth. The American fighter's camp eventually threw their towel in the seventh round as they conceded the defeat. Fury was hailed as the new WBC world heavyweight champion and further improved his overall record to 30-0-1.

The two fighters were set to have a trilogy several months after Fury's title victory. However, the COVID-19 pandemic ruled out any chance of the event happening in the near future, which led to the cancellation of the bout.

Fury then set his sights on matching up against his fellow Briton in Anthony Joshua, who's currently holding the WBA, IBF, and WBO world heavyweight titles. Joshua inched closer toward going head-to-head with Fury after emerging victorious by way of a knockout against IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev back in December 2020.

An exact fight date has yet to be released for the fight between Fury and Joshua, but it is expected that the two boxers will collide for a unification bout later this year. Tyson Fury can take his time in enjoying his wins for now before he faces a tall task in overcoming another capable opponent in Anthony Joshua in the squared circle in the near future.
