Oh boy. Tensions were expected to rise the moment Jake Paul was confirmed to be in attendance for UFC 261 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday. After all, former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier was also in the same building calling out the fights.

It didn't take long for Paul and Cormier to stand face-to-face and cause a commotion near the stands. It remains unclear how the altercation started, but security was immediately all over the pair as they exchanges some unpleasantries at each other.

In the UFC 261 broadcast, DC later confirmed to fellow commentator Joe Rogan what he said to the YouTube star.

“I swear to God, I just saw Jake Paul. I pointed at him and said, ‘Don’t play with me,’ because I’ll smack him in the face,” he shared. “He’s right there. I’ll slap him. I don’t play those games, Joe.”

By the looks of it, Jake Paul was also not welcome inside the arena, as fans watching UFC 261 jeered him after disrespecting Daniel Cormier. It's unbelievable how one guy who is not even fighting the card can generate this amount of hate.

As crazy as it sounds, the unlikely rivals recently began beefing with one another after the arrogant YouTuber brashly called out DC for a boxing match. Jake Paul does feel like a hotshot as of late, taking an aim to the MMA community following his one-round KO over Ben Askren last week.

He called DC a “fat a**” and threatened to knock him out in the ring.

Daniel Cormier has earlier claimed that will not stoop down to Paul's level, but it seems the the new boxing star has gotten under his skin a bit. Perhaps it's time to book a Paul versus Cormier fight, next?
