Derrick Lewis is one of the top knockout threats in the history of the UFC heavyweight division. One carjacker found that out for himself on Tuesday.

Lewis told ESPN's Ariel Helwani he saw a man trying to break into his SUV on Tuesday morning. The “Black Beast” promptly knocked the man out before he was apprehended by police.

Lewis also posted a picture of the man being taken into custody.

The carjacker certainly did pick the wrong guy to rob.

Lewis has some of the most explosive power in the history of the UFC heavyweight division. He tied former UFC star Vitor Belfort for the most knockouts in the history of the company with a vicious KO of heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes in February.

Having added to his UFC resume this winter, Lewis is hoping to get another shot at the heavyweight strap.

UFC president Dana White has said numerous times in recent weeks Lewis is the No. 1 contender for the heavyweight title, which was recently won by Francis Ngannou. The two previously met in July of 2018, a fight Lewis won by decision.

The first bout between Lewis and Ngannou was an unexpected snooze fest. However, both fighters have made significant gains in the past few years and could absolutely put on a show for the fans. The fight, when finalized, will mark Ngannou's first title defense, while Lewis will hope to get the belt after losing a title bout to UFC great Daniel Cormier in November of 2018.
