UFC 249 has been canceled due to the coronavirus, per Brett Okamoto of ESPN.

All UFC events have been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19. Dana White was ready to promote the event, but things were taken out of his control:

White tweeted early in the morning that he was excited to see the fight. The UFC president says he got a call from the higher-ups at Disney and ESPN and now UFC 249 is no longer happening.

The NBA suspended its season after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus. All other sports leagues followed suit, although it took until today for the UFC to join the party.

No one knows when live sports will return. The UFC will likely wait until all the other sports leagues start back up again.
