Following backlash over the absence of equal pay between the USMNT and USWNT, US Soccer has offered identical contracts to both programs, which is huge news for the entire program.

The US Soccer Federation says the contracts have been sent out to the players. They also released a statement on Tuesday:

“US Soccer firmly believes that the best path forward for all involved, and for the future of the sport in the United States, is a single pay structure for both senior national teams,” US Soccer said in a statement.

“This proposal will ensure that USWNT and USMNT players remain among the highest paid senior national team players in the world while providing a revenue sharing structure that would allow all parties to begin anew and share collectively in the opportunity that combined investment in the future of US Soccer will deliver over the course of a new CBA.”

Gender equality in these two programs has been a complaint from the women's side for many years, but it seems as they've finally received their wish to be compensated equally. Both teams have been enjoying lots of success as of late as well, with the USMNT winning the Nations League and the Gold Cup this summer, while the women won bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.

US Soccer has taken the necessary steps to make sure all its players are happy. While the difference in prize money for the World cup remains a problem, at least the women will be getting better contracts now because as we know, they're significantly underpaid in every sport.
