Valentina Shevchenko is widely considered one of the greatest women's MMA fighters ever. The UFC flyweight champion is often asked about other women in the sport and was recently asked about Kayla Harrison potentially joining the UFC.

The dominant UFC champion was not holding back and dropped a major truth bomb on Kayla Harrison. Many of the issues she was having in the PFL are going to pop up again in the UFC.

Valentina Shevchenko recently discussed the subject with MMA Journalist James Lynch. The UFC champion got brutally honest.

“I did not watch her fights but I know she is kind of like finishing everyone in the first round. Yes definitely, it’s a good thing for female martial arts that you have strong women like her in the UFC and outside… It is very hard I think for her to find someone really in high level because of the weight class. If you have your natural power and weight, every time it’s best for you. Just my opinion, it will be very hard for her to find opponents [in the UFC].”

Kayla Harrison has struggled to find opponents at lightweight and the PFL has done the best they could to fill out the division. Many want her to join the UFC so she can have more named competition.

The UFC has struggled to fill out its women's featherweight division and has been heavily criticized for it. Valentina Shevchenko may be right in that Kayla Harrison would struggle to find quality opposition.
