Valheim came out earlier this year and took Steam by storm. Thousands of vikings made their settlements and hunted down epic monsters. However, the game is still in its early development phase, with Valheim developers Iron Gate Studio vowing to bring even more content into the game. This coming September, Valheim Hearth & Home will be getting a brand-new update pack that brings new content to the game. The Valheim Hearth & Home content update trailer was shown via a cool-looking animation video. While it did show us the game's release date, it didn't show us any in-game footage. In any case, the new content update's new features and thematics have been shown in the very same trailer. Here are some of the new features we're anticipating from the content drop this September:

  • Ability to heap gold coins and treasure chests, with iron gates and keys introduced to keep thieving hands away
  • More building and architectural options
  • Re-balanced food mechanics
  • Reworked shields and blocking mechanics
