After selling over six million copies on Steam, Iron Forge Studios' Valheim continues to be a big hit for gamers. With the upcoming Hearth and Home major update, many players look forward to new content introduced by the developers. But for now, fans received a far smaller but still impactful update, affecting chests and abyssal harpoons. Let's check out everything new in update 0.148.6 that came out on March 23, 2021.

VALHEIM UPDATE 0.148.6 PATCH NOTES

Valheim update 0.148.6 arrived on March 23, 2021, bringing in minor but impactful changes in the game. Most of the changes involve balancing, but some items also improve quality of life. For most players, the most important updates are as follows:

  1. Reinforced chest inventory space now holds 6Ɨ4 units
  2. Increased drop rate for deathsquito and drake trophies
  3. Moder boss spawn location fixed for some worlds
  4. Night-spawning wolves become easier to tame now
  5. Player knockback force now affected by equipment speed modifiers
  6. All boss loot drops now float on water
  7. Players can now hit multiple enemies easier using battle axes

  1. Campfires, bonfires & hearths now take damage when dealing damage (as they previously kill bosses easily with no repercussion)
  2. HP fix for 1-star and 2-star mobs
  3. Abyssal harpoon no longer work on bosses
  4. Ingame console disabled by default
  5. Ingame console command to activate dev mode changed from ā€œimacheaterā€ to ā€œdevcommandsā€

There are various different quality of life changes as well.Ā Valheim players can now, for example, refresh the list of servers without waiting for all servers to load. The Valheim devs also addressed various connection-related issues in the game, making the game more accessible and stable for all users.
