Victor Oladipo has gone from being the best player on the Orlando Magic to a key player for a playoff team.

That team is the Oklahoma City Thunder. When Oladipo first joined the team he did not think he would be the second option, but now he will be thrust into that position.

The Thunder will need big numbers from Oladipo if they want to make a playoff run. Billy Donovan will most likely use Oladipo for everything from point guard to small forward. The Indiana product has the skill and size to play several positions.

When the Thunder traded for Oladipo, a lot were surprised. It turns out though, it was something both Oklahoma City and Oladipo wanted, per an article by The Oklahoman.

“I literally thought about being here a year ago, and thought what it would be like to be on this team,” Oladipo said. “…and for it to actually happen, it's a surreal experience, and I know that it's supposed to be the way it is now. I mean, it might sound crazy but I'm definitely excited about it.”

Hard to believe that Oladipo thought about being on the team and now it has happened. He will help in leading a playoff team that needs him. The city needs him too. This Thunder team can bring hope to Oklahoma City after the Kevin Durant mess.

Not only did Oladipo want to be on the Thunder, he wanted to play with Russell Westbrook. He went on to say:

“Last year I was thinking I've got to find a way to get in the gym with that dude. Now I'm in the gym with him every day.”

Victor Oladipo is sure to put on a show with Westbrook. The two are some of the best dunkers in the league and have tons of athleticism. While the two know how to play flashy, they'll have to get their teammates involved to have success.
