For the most part of last week, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin had his availability for Monday Night Football game’s showdown with the Green Bay Packers in question because of a hamstring injury. So, it was fortunate for the 49ers, and to quarterback C.J. Beathard in particular, to hear that Goodwin was going to give it a go against the Packers.

Goodwin didn’t waste much time to show and prove to San Francisco fans that he’s now 100 percent healthy by simply taking this huge heave from C.J. Beathard to the house for a 67-yard touchdown score that cut the Packers’ first-quarter lead.

Not many people know that Marquise Goodwin once competed in a track-and-field event in the Olympics, and if an Olympian trackster was given room to run on an open field, chances are he’s good as gone, which was what the former Texas Longhorns star did early in the Packers game.

Goodwin is currently the Niners’ No. 1 wide receiver and often operates as the team’s top deep threat, thanks to his athleticism and uncanny speed. If the 49ers are going to have success on their passing attack moving forward, Goodwin is almost surely will be a big part of it.
