The New Orleans Pelicans saw a scary sight as Anthony Davis was forced to walk off the floor after bumping hips with the L.A. Clippers' DeAndre Jordan.

Davis was attempting to box out Jordan after Jrue Holiday's shot, but the two big men apparently collided hips. However, the exchange saw Davis getting the shorter end of the stick as the All-Star power forward was visibly in pain after the hit.

The injury was so bad that Davis had to be taken out of the game. TNT's cameras followed Davis on his way to the dugout and the Pelicans franchise payer appeared to be in excruciating pain.

Things don't look good based on this video:

Fortunately for the New Orleans faithful, Davis was able to return to the game and he has helped his team erect a rather comfortable lead over the Clippers, as of this writing.

Led by Davis' MVP-worthy play, the Pelicans have burst out of the scene and well on their way into a postseason berth. Despite missing the services of DeMarcus Cousins, New Orleans is now one of the hottest teams in the NBA.

The former top overall pick in the 2012 draft is coming off a helluva February where he averaged 35.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game, playing like a man possessed on both ends of the floor.

For all his abilities, the crux of Davis is still on his durability. For some reasons, he tends to hurt himself easily, earning himself a brittle tag along the way.
