Los Angeles Lakes superstar LeBron James is one of the most imposing figures in the NBA, but that fact does not matter to L.A. Clippers point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The first-year player came to the rescue of teammate Patrick Beverley, who got erased from the equation by James while lobbying for paint position. Gilgeous-Alexander went up to block the Lakers superstar from behind, capping off a superb two-man job from the visiting team's point guard tandem.

Gilgeous-Alexander is an exceptionally-long athlete at the point guard position. He stands at 6-foot-6 and armed with a 7-feet wingspan. His defensive potential is tantalizing and his playmaking has shown promise, giving the Clippers much hope for the future.

This is a high-profile matchup between the two Hollywood teams — the more celebrated one against the better-performing group. However, the former must be willing to do anything to swap places with the latter at this point.

James has taken plenty of heat as of late after viral clips of him playing ho-hum defense coupled with his loaded comments toward the other Lakers players. The playoffs are slowly moving away from the Lakers' reach and it's not going to be easy as the season nears its end.
