Gary Trent Jr. has been loving life with the Toronto Raptors. On Saturday, he further established his growing reputation of being a well-loved figure within the team following a tremendous first-half performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Trent dropped a cool 25 points in the first half of action as he led the Raptors to a franchise scoring record (h/t NBA on Twitter):

Trent could not miss in the first half vs. the Cavs, as he went 9-of-10 shooting with five triples. He led his team to a whopping 87-point half, as Toronto entered the break with a massive 33-point lead over Cleveland. The Raptors were also without Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, and Fred VanVleet in this one, so it was Trent who decided to step it up for his team.

Trent has been making quite a name for himself in Toronto since arriving prior to the trade deadline. Last week, the 22-year-old drained a game-winning trey against the Washington Wizards — an outstanding play that sent shockwaves throughout the league. Needless to say, Trent has adjusted well to life with his new team, and at this point, it would be safe to say that the Raptors pulled off quite a heist with this trade.
