The Atlanta Hawks took on the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night in the final days of the NBA preseason.

As the first half was coming to a close, Hawks' head coach Mike Budenholzer was pummeled as Pelicans Langston Galloway dove for a basketball headed towards the sideline.

According to Hawks' play by play broadcaster Bob Rathbun, Budenholzer had surgery to repair a fractured finger the day before the game. Coach Bud left the game and had apparently re-injured his right hand injury.

Get well soon, coach!
