The Philadelphia 76ers’ unbeaten run continues, as they stretched their win streak to five games by carving out a 104-102 come-from-behind victory at home against the Miami Heat Wednesday.

For the most part of the night, it seemed that the Sixers were on the verge of suffering a loss with the Heat establishing a 24-point lead, one that Philadelphia slowly but surely eroded until they got the lead back midway in the fourth quarter, when Ben Simmons made an alley-oop dunk off a J.J. Redick assist to give the Sixers a 92-90 advantage.

Redick would make another crucial play later in the game, when he drained a difficult two-point jumper with less than 20 seconds remaining in the game to give the Sixers a three-point lead, 102-99.

Overall, J.J. Redick fired 14 points on 6-for-19 shooting from the field to go with seven rebounds and five assists, while Simmons and Dario Saric had 18 and 19 points, respectively. Philadelphia vastly outmuscled the Heat on the glass, winning the rebounding battle, 60-29.

Philly’s comeback win looked even more impressive when considering the fact that the Sixers did not have the services of all-star center Joel Embiid, who sat out the game with ankle discomfort. The win was also the team’s first time to overcome a 24-point deficit since 2008. Furthermore, it was the Sixers’ 11th straight win at Wells Fargo Center.

The Sixers will now look forward to a Thursday date with the Chicago Bulls in Windy City, where Philly is only 4-16 in its last 20 games there going back to 2018.
