Four games into his young NBA career and Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray had yet to make his first NBA field goal.

The 19-year-old Kentucky product was mired in an 0-of-16 slump from the floor, collecting no more than one point in two of his four appearances, the other two? Scoreless.

In his fifth game against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, Murray missed his first three-point field goal attempt, but was able to connect with his next attempt — draining a three ball from the left wing.

He'd finish the game 4-of-10 from the floor for nine points in 27 minutes, but most importantly took the monkey off his back after a haunting goose egg on the field goal column.
