It hasn't taken long for Joel Embiid to impress people around the league with his play. Less than a game, actually.

Saturday, the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks played a matinee that was mostly dominated by the Hawks. But Embiid had his moments, including this swat on Dwight Howard.

Embiid effectively came out of nowhere to make the block. He's already showing that he has the potential to be a defensive anchor for the Sixers in the future.

Embiid was clearly pumped for his matchup today against Howard, who was once the premiere center in the league. Embiid is a student of the game and NBA junkie and he knew this matchup would be a great test for him.

The start of the game was great as just 10 seconds in, Embiid drilled a 3-pointer from the top of the key with Howard letting him have the shot.

Embiid can do it all. We all just hope he can stay on the court.
