The Minnesota Timberwolves faced off against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night which featured a battle of the titans.
Joel Embiid who has been having an incredible season at the center position played against high powered rookie of the year Karl-Anthony Towns.
Although the Sixers have been struggling to win games, Embiid's play has been encouraging. He is averaging 18.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
Despite great numbers, he received his welcome to the NBA moment from the Timberwolves big man.
Towns gave Embiid a first and second pump fake that completely took him off of his feet. That was all the space Towns needed before proceeding to the rim for a nasty power jam over two Sixers players. A helpless Embiid trailed behind too late to make up for his mistake.
