All things considered, New York Knicks forward Mario Hezonja has been a letdown so far in his NBA career. But from time to time, he reminds people why they were utterly excited of seeing the Croatian in the NBA before he was selected by the Orlando Magic in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft.

Take for example this massive throwdown he uncorked against the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday night in Gotham in which he put Giannis Antetokounmpo on a poster and dumped a sack of salt on the Greek Freak’s wounded ego afterward by staring down and stepping over the Bucks star. Talk about deer in the headlights.

Perhaps the most impressive of all during that sequence was the fact that Mario Hezonja’s hair didn’t lose any of its luster even after handing brutal on-court punishment to Antetokounmpo for having the gall to try to chase him down and embarrass him in front of the Knicks’ home crowd.

Naturally, fans inside Madison Square Garden and Knicks players on the bench went nuts over Hezonja’s slam over the early-season MVP contender.

The 23-year-old European hotshot has struggled to find playing time during his NBA career, and he’ll have to show more if he wants a new contract in the league next year, when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Hezonja entered the Bucks game averaging 8.1 points, 1.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game this season.
