Despite retiring two seasons ago, Kobe Bryant’s influence on the game still runs deep. Even to this day, retirement doesn’t hold back Bryant when it comes to sharing his opinions and knowledge of basketball.

In his latest Musecage Basketball Network video that is posted on ESPN, Bryant gave high praise to a superstar who shares the same mentality as him, Kyrie Irving. The five-time NBA champion discussed the Boston Celtics star's shooting prowess and handles that serve as keys to his success today.

While other great point guards such as Jason Kidd, Tony Parker, John Wall, and Russell Westbrook have to work on their shooting ability, Kyrie Irving has been a marksman since he stepped foot on an NBA court. The top pick in 2011 shot 47 percent on field goals and 39 percent from the 3-point line in his rookie campaign. Add his mesmerizing dribbling moves and ability to finish around the rim and it makes Kyrie Irving an even more potent threat.

Kobe Bryant also gave credit to the point guard’s triple threat ability.

“Every option the defense chooses, is the wrong one. Gave him the jumper, no problem. Push him right, no problem. Force him left, no problem.”

The Los Angeles Lakers legend's assessment of the Celtics point guard's game seems fair. Kyrie Irving is shooting 48 percent on field goals, 40 percent from behind the arc, while also shooting 89 percent from the free throw stripe this season, making him a rare candidate for 50-40-90 club.
