Los Angeles Lakers fans, nor NBA fans in general for that matter, have seen much of the patented skyhook shot since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar hung up his sneakers in 1989.

Abdul-Jabbar has advocated for it's return, and even offered to teach it to players, but he could never find a single commitment.

In a glimmer of hope, Lakers rookie center Ivica Zubac showed off his long smooth skyhook at Sunday's rookie photoshoot. The Croatian center took a single shot from the three-point line with little effort and hit nothing but net.

Check out my @paniniamerica #paninidunk trick shot from the #panininbarookie shoot. Sky hook ????

If by some slight chance Zubac is able to successfully integrate the signature skyhook into his game, Lakers fans have yet another exciting thing to look forward to in the future.
