Unfortunately for Drake, beating Quavo in a half-court shooting contest was not part of God’s plan.

Just before the duo took the stage on Sunday in Kansas City, Drizzy and Quavo – one-third of the hip-hop group Migos – made a whopping $10,000 bet over a half-court shot. Quavo stepped up to the plate first and swishes in the leather. Drake had his chance of leveling up the score, but his shot, unlike his previous albums, flopped at the rim.

At that point, the moral thing to do for Drake was to admit Quavo was too good, while shelling out the 10 grand he just lost. Quavo walked the talked and showed he was a danger on the court.

Drake looked like he got hustled here. Was he aware that Quavo just showed he could ball when he played in the All-Star Celebrity Game during the NBA All-Star Weekend. He even took home the game’s MVP award after dropping 19 points to go with five rebounds.

Conversely, it was probably a little easier for Quavo to wager that much money against Drake, knowing that OVO once embarrassed himself on the court by air-balling a 3-point attempt while disturbing the peace of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team’s warmup.

Steph Curry with the shot,” huh?
