Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr got ejected after throwing a fit late in their game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The contest already had its tense moment earlier in the fourth quarter when Klay Thompson and Zach Collins exchanged sweet nothings before getting separated by cooler heads. A few minutes later, Collins was again involved in a curious moment after he was fouled — and a hard one at that — by Draymond Green.

The officials ruled Green's act as a flagrant, putting the world around Kerr spinning and only stopping when the multi-titled coach had reached a boiling point. He slammed his clipboard and berated the referee which, of course, prompted his ejection from the game.

The call on Green proved to be a game-changing one as the contest was still within the Warriors' reach at that point. Unfortunately for the defending champions, the Blazers pulled away and never looked back en route to a 129-107 victory.

It was an excellent show of concerted effort from Portland's players as eight of them scored in double figures, led by Damian Lillard's 28 points made even sweeter by eight helpers.

The Warriors were without DeMarcus Cousins and Andre Iguodala, leaving Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant to carry the cudgels for Golden State. Both stars erupted for 32 points but received very little support from Thompson and Green.
