Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr said that while he loved his time in Minnesota, he feels that the time may be right to finally move on.

While coming just a little short of saying that he welcomes his upcoming free agency, Barr spoke to TMZ Sports about his thoughts and plans for the upcoming season.

“I love Minnesota, but I'm willing to play anywhere I find fit,” he said to the site. “If it's comfortable, that I would have a role on the team with and help win. My possibilities are open.”

Currently, Anthony Barr is the NFL's #11 free agent. By TMZ Sports' estimation, his contract could be in the $45 million range.

And Barr has certainly done well under the Vikings. He's had five seasons total, where he started 71 games and made four Pro Bowl selections.

But this isn't the first time that Barr has made clear that he's interested in exploring his other options.

“I've been thinking about it. It's been a whole year, two years really, coming, so — my contract was up last year, had the option, and this year now it's really up so the possibilities I feel like are endless and I could be anywhere. I want to be back, like I've said throughout the last year, but like I've been saying also I know my worth and I know what I've got to do I've got to do it for me.”

The Vikings have not offered a contract extension to Anthony Barr, and was passed up for a pay raise when the team exercised their fifth-year option.
