The Minnesota Vikings are rolling, currently riding a seven-game win streak. Despite their success, there have continued to be questions about quarterback Case Keenum's status as the long-term starter this season.

Head coach Mike Zimmer once again made that clear as he stated on Wednesday morning that Keenum is still being judged on a week-by-week basis, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Despite still being assessed in a short-term manner, Keenum has certainly proven to be quite a stable asset under center in the process, as he's helped guide the team to an 8-2 record in their first 10 games played while throwing for 2,476 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and five interceptions while holding a 96.2 passer rating.

The 29-year-old has been a huge part of the reason why the Vikings currently lead the NFC North and are in position to potentially lock up one of the top two spots in the NFC playoff picture. This type of continued dialogue from Zimmer is either simply meant to keep Keenum motivated, or he really is leaving the door open for Teddy Bridgewater to step in as the starter if there are issues that arise over the last five weeks of the season.

Bridgewater was cleared to play a couple weeks ago and is currently serving as the backup, but Keenum has played quite well to keep himself in the lineup as he has become a part of the team's identity offensively. If there is anything to take away from these comments, it's that Keenum will have to continue to prove that he is capable of leading the Vikings on a deep playoff run. They have another test coming on Sunday on the road against the surging Atlanta Falcons.
