For many fantasy football leagues, Week 14 will bring the final wave of NFL games that will determine which managers are going to make the playoffs and who are going to wait for several months again before being able to try to win a championship again. It is also for the same reason that many fantasy football managers are waiting with bated breath the availability statuses of Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook and wide receiver Adam Thielen for Week 14's Thursday Night Football game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In a recent report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, he said that Cook has yet to participate in full in any of this week's Vikings practice sessions, so far. Thielen, on the other hand, has not practiced at all yet this week, pointing to a likely absence for the Steelers matchup.

Cook sustained a shoulder injury in Week 12's game against the San Francisco 49ers, while Thielen hurt his ankle in last Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions.

The fact that the Vikings are playing on a short week makes it even more infuriating for the fantasy owners of Cook and Thielen. If Cook will get ultimately ruled out of Week 14, his owners should have a backup plan ready, especially if they missed out on handcuffing him with Alexander Mattison. As for Thielen, his absence could easily mean more targets for his teammates,  Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn.
