The NFL world is spinning right now with the recent news of Dalvin Cook. On Wednesday, the Minnesota Vikings' star running back was found to have domestic abuse allegations against him. This is an ongoing investigation. However, Cook claims he is the victim in this case.

According to Chad Graff, Dalvin Cook finally broke his silence on the matter. Typically we don't have a public statement from NFL players involved in domestic abuse cases. Clearly, the Vikings star seems confident that he is of no wrongdoing and says “he'll defer to his lawyers,” per Chad Graff.

The video is a bit quiet, but Cook claims, “I just want everybody to know that I'm the victim in this situation. The truth will come out at a further time,” per Ari Meirov.

Considering Cook has no history of being violent off of the field, it is odd to see his name involved with a domestic violence case. Hopefully, this gets sorted out sooner, rather than later. For now, Dalvin Cook will be dressing down for the Vikings and play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Cook has been a monster this season, recording 554 rushing yards and two touchdowns off of 115 rush attempts. He's the driving force for this offense, as he leads the Vikings in their run-first offense.

Keep an eye on this situation, as more information will surely come to light. We'll see how this plays out, as the Vikings need Cook in the lineup if they hope to get back into the playoff race.
