Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook missed the final two weeks of the regular season due to a shoulder injury, but he should be good to go for the Vikings' Wild Card Round matchup with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

“I feel refreshed. I'm going to be ready to go,” Cook said before practice on Wednesday, via the team's official Twitter. “I'm going to be at full strength. Looking forward to a good football game.”

In 14 games in 2019, Cook racked up 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 4.5 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 53 receptions for 519 yards.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Florida State, was originally selected by the Vikings in the second round (41st pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

A torn ACL limited Cook to just four games during his rookie campaign, but when he was on the field, he was impressive, finishing with 354 yards and a couple of scores while registering 4.8 yards per attempt in his first season as a member of the Vikings.

Cook's following season was once again cut short by knee issues, as the halfback appeared in just 11 contests. Over that time, he totaled 615 yards while reaching the end zone twice as a rusher. He also caught 40 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns.

Minnesota has a deep backfield, but injuries have plagued it in recent weeks.

Not only has Cook been out, but Alexander Mattison has been sidelined with an ankle injury. Mike Boone has filled in admirably, but there is no doubt that the Vikings need a healthy Dalvin Cook to reach their full potential in the postseason.
