Dalvin Cook is still working back from a torn ACL injury that he suffered last year and although it's still unclear if he is going to play this preseason he will be 100 percent ready to go once the regular season starts. Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer told the media on Thursday that he has made a decision on if Cook will play on Saturday against the Jacksonville Jaguars but wouldn't inform the media of his decision.

Cook said he wants to play in the preseason, but if he doesn't he will be ready to go once the regular season starts.

“Yeah, 100 percent,” Cook told reporters Thursday, via the Vikings' official website. “I'm ready to go. Ball is ball, and when that ball rolls out, I'm going to go 100 percent, I'm going to fly around, I'm going to do me. Like I said, my knee is ready to go, I'm ready to play, and that's behind me. It's just football now.”

Cook also said that as bad as he wants to be on the field he trusts the coaches and he knows they have his best interests in mind.

“I know everybody wants to see me out on the field and all that, but the coaches know what's really going on, and they know I'm going to be ready to go once they call my number,” Cook told reporters, via the team's website. “I don't get into the whole debate game of me playing or not. They pull my jersey, I don't play, I just sit it out and cheer my teammates on. When my number does get called to go out there, they know I'll be ready to go.”

The Vikings are already a great team and with Cook coming back there is no question they are going to be better than last year. The Vikings also have Latavius Murray in the backfield and the Vikings could use a heavy dose of him early in the season as they try to ease Cook back into the mix.
