They say that Philadelphia is supposed to be the City of Brotherly Love, but that certainly wasn't the case on Sunday when linebacker Eric Kendricks and the Minnesota Vikings traveled to take on linebacker Mychal Kendricks and the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.

Unfortunately for Eric, this was a Vikings loss that will sting for quite some time, as Minnesota was routed 38-7 at Lincoln Financial Field. In the process, his brother Mychal and the Eagles will play in Super Bowl LII against the defending-champion New England Patriots on Feb. 4.

After such a bitter loss to end the Vikings' season, Eric was understandably in no mood to give his brother props for the Eagles' victory. In an article written by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Eric opened up about Minnesota's heartbreaking defeat.

“I want to be there you know, I’m a competitor and I play this game to win period. So I don’t care if he’s on the other team or not, I’m trying to win,” Eric said of his brother Mychal following the loss. “So right now I’m mad, yeah, I’m not happy for him. It’s crazy that we’re in this position, all of the things that we’ve been through, yeah, that’s cool. But I’m not happy for him, you know. I wanted to win that game. They beat us fair and square and we’ll see but for right now, I’m not happy.”

That definitely is a tough pill to swallow for Eric, as he now has to watch his brother play in the Super Bowl in Minneapolis at his home stadium.
