Everson Griffen is unsure of what his future holds, but there's a chance that he returns to the Minnesota Vikings. While speaking with NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Griffen gave a revealing quote pertaining to his future with Minnesota.

Over the past 10 seasons, Griffen has called Minnesota home, having been drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Vikings. As a fourth-round pick, Griffen had to earn an expanded role with the Vikings earlier in his career.

However, since 2012, Griffen has been a prominent member of Minnesota's defense. Nevertheless, earlier in the offseason, the USC product decided to void the final year of his contract.

At first, the expectation was for Griffen to re-sign with the Vikings on a cheaper deal in free agency. On the contrary, Griffen's agent said that he had broken off talks with Minnesota after it became apparent that they wouldn't have enough money for his client.

But nearly a month since free agency has begun, Griffen remains in free agency. In his case, it's likely due to teams not being able to conduct a physical or an in-person meeting due to the coronavirus. With no teams expressing serious interest yet, Griffen seems open to a return to the Vikings.

Just this past season, Griffen proved that he still has something left in the tank, recording eight sacks. Even at 32 years old, the former fourth-round pick can be a disruptive force for any defense. Despite Minnesota's limited cap space, there's still a chance that Griffen continues his career with the Vikings.
