The Minnesota Vikings notably selected former North Carolina State Wolfpack interior offensive lineman Garrett Bradbury in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Although the up-and-coming blocker remains slated to become a Day 1 starter for the Vikings, Bradbury realizes that he still has some things to work on in the process of transitioning to the professional level.

“My body control on the second level,” Bradbury recently said, via Arif Hasan of The Athletic. “I get too aggressive sometimes. I get my helmet and my pads over my knees and hips, just keeping everything in good control. If you can get there in two small steps, that’s better than one big step. Just little technique things like that.”

The Vikings missed the postseason in 2018. They wasted absolutely no time in seeking additional protection for veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who was expected to lead the NFC North franchise to a Super Bowl title. Garrett Bradbury represented the Vikings' continued commitment to shoring up their offensive line.

“Bradbury's body control, core strength, movement skills and intelligence check very important boxes for teams looking for immediate center help,” reads Bradbury's 2019 NFL Draft profile on NFL.com. “His pass-pro tape against Clemson proves he can hold his own against a variety of pass-rush flavors while his strength and athleticism make him scheme flexible. He is a candidate to become an early and long-time starter in the league.”

With Garrett Bradbury now on board to bolster and solidify the Vikings' offensive line, Minnesota once again has high expectations for the upcoming 2019 campaign.
