The Minnesota Vikings came out the gates hot against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The team jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter, thanks in large part to the exploits of Kirk Cousins and star wide receiver Justin Jefferson. The pair linked up three times in the first quarter, including a massive 56-yard reception.

Jefferson finished the first quarter with a remarkable 104 yards. According to NFL Research, this was Jefferson's 12th time recording 100+ receiving yards. He tied JuJu Smith-Schuster and Vikings legend Randy Moss with 12 such games in a player's first two seasons in the league. Only Odell Beckham Jr. has more 100+ receiving yard games in his first two seasons, having amassed 15.

Jefferson has proven week in and week out that he's one of the league's best pass-catchers, and he had already put on yet another noteworthy display on Sunday by the time the first quarter concluded. Being in the same company as Randy Moss is no easy feat, and the Vikings prodigy will look to further follow in the footsteps of the Hall of Fame wide receiver.

With a bit less than half the season remaining, a handful of big games could see Jefferson overtake OBJ for sole possession of the record.

Heading into Week 11, Jefferson had recorded 55 receptions for 775 yards and four touchdowns. Including Sunday, he's now topped the 100-yard threshold in four games this season and he's now achieved the feat in back-to-back weeks. The LSU product is proving to be virtually unguardable by NFL secondaries and the Vikings are going to keep taking advantage of the mismatches he creates.
