Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson has quickly become one of the league's best pass catchers. At just 23 years old, he has also become a fan favorite around the NFL.

While he has just two years of experience, Jefferson has also earned a spot in many people's top five receivers. He already stands alongside receivers such as Davante Adams and Cooper Kupp.

In a recent interview with Complex’s Kameron Hay, Justin Jefferson was asked if he was currently the league's best receiver. Jefferson’s response should have Vikings fans excited.

“I’ll say after this year I’ll be the best receiver in the NFL. I definitely have to give it to Davante Adams as of now, him being so crazy and dynamic on the field. His route running is crazy, so I definitely have to give it to him right now, but I’m pretty sure after this year, it’s going to be me.”

Jefferson, who chose to be humble with his answer, could make a case that he is already the league's top receiver. Through 33 career games, he has already put up elite stats. He racked up 3,016 receiving yards, 196 receptions, and 17 touchdowns.

When asked about why he can't call himself the league's top receiver just yet, Justin Jefferson gave an interesting but hopeful answer.

“I think I have to do it three years in a row for everybody to believe so. Some people don’t think that after two years you deserve to be at the top of the league. And then me, I feel like I’m going to surpass 1600 yards too. So I think that I’ll become the best receiver after this year.”

Heading into year three, Justin Jefferson hopes to play at an even higher level. He has high expectations heading into his third season. If he can reach the type of play that he thinks he can, the crown could become his.
