On Tuesday evening, the NFL formally announced its Pro Bowl selections for the 2019 season. While a slew of alternates were also announced, there were several noticeable snubs that were left off the initial list of Pro Bowlers this time around — Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback Kirk Cousins included.

Cousins has strung together quite an impressive individual effort this season while most notably leading the Vikings back to the postseason. Not only that, but the Vikings still have a chance to become NFC North Champions before all is said and done.

Currently in the midst of his second season in Minnesota, Cousins has produced 3,481 yards through the air alongside 25 touchdown passes and just five interceptions in 2019-20.

However, Cousins isn't the only well-known snub on this year's list as Oakland Raiders rookie running back Josh Jacobs is more than likely on his way to becoming the league's Offensive Rookie of the Year. Already surpassing the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season, Jacobs is one of the very few reasons that the Raiders have had any success on offense this season. Jacobs was originally selected by Oakland in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Alabama.

Although the Dallas Cowboys have quickly become the league's most consistently inconsistent team's, quarterback Dak Prescott has remained one of the few bright spots for the once heralded NFC East franchise. Well on his way to a massive pay day as team owner Jerry Jones will surely be forced to retain Prescott on a long-term basis after this season, the veteran signal caller has impressed on an individual level from the jump in 2019-20.

It is also worth noting that Pro Football Focus added a few others to this unfortunate though prestigious list, a group that includes Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones, Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz, Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman La'el Collins, New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Ryan Ramczyk, Houston Texans defensive lineman D.J. Reader, Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks, New Orleans Saints defensive back Marcus Williams, Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler and New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis.
