Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings were able to take down the Philadelphia Eagles behind the arm of quarterback Kirk Cousins who had a season-high 333 yards and four touchdowns. Cousins has been in the news lately since teammate Adam Thielen's called out of Cousins after their Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Cousins responded the following week by feeding Thielen for a season-high in yards and finding him in the end zone twice. However, Cousins wasn't done being called out, this time by his former Washington Redskins teammate Zach Brown.

Brown, who is now a member of the Eagles, told reporters that Cousins was the ā€œweakest linkā€ in the Vikings offense and that he hoped the ball would be in Cousins' hands. Brown got his wish as the ball was in Cousins' hands for much of the game, but Cousins took a different approach and proceeded to torch the Eagles secondary.

When asked whether Brown's comments fueled his Week 6 performance, in true Kirk Cousins fashion, the quarterback had no idea what Brown said, saying ā€œI didn't even know what he said,ā€. Cousins actually complemented Brown by saying he was one of the best linebackers he had played with.

Here's Brown's reaction to Philadelphia giving up four passing touchdowns to his old teammate:

Knowing Cousins, he most likely did not pay attention to Brown's comments heading into the Sunday but his play spoke for itself. With the comments behind him, one can only hope that Cousins can continue his impressive without controversial comments surrounding his next game.
