Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has gone through a lot of changes through his career and even this season with an offensive coordinator change. For a time this offseason there were rumors that the Vikings would be bringing in a different offensive coordinator but after the Cleveland Browns decided to go in a different direction at head coach, Kevin Stefanski decided to come back and that is something that Cousins is thrilled about.

“I was thrilled to hear that he’d be back,” Cousins said in a string of statements released by Vikings PR via 247 Sports. “We feel like the continuity is very important, not only for me at the quarterback position but for our entire offense, for the young players learning the system and for our coaching staff to have the familiarity, as well. Kevin’s proven over many years in the Vikings facility that he’s a great coach, a great leader, carries himself well and is the right person to lead our offense going forward.”

Stefanski was the offensive coordinator for the final three games of the season but he was still running John DeFilippo's system and he was limited on how much change he could actually do with the offense.

Now that he will have all offseason he can sit down with Cousins and make it an offense that they both like and hopefully will have more success than they did in 2018.

The offense was good in some games, but there were some games that they couldn't get anything going and it ultimately was a big reason they missed out on the playoffs.
