If there is one weakness on the Minnesota Vikings, it's the offensive line, and with all the injuries the position has gone through it could become a significant weakness.

The Vikings are currently without three starters from last year including Pat Elfein their starting center. The Vikings new quarterback has taken notice of the injuries and admits they are “not ideal.”

“It’s tough,” Cousins said via ESPN.com. “It’s not ideal. Pat will be back, but it’s good practice for when inevitably something happens during the season and we have to shuffle people around. I guess it’s getting us prepared for that. It isn’t easy to have a new center every other snap, if that’s what happens.”

The center-quarterback exchange is one of the most important in football and with the Cousins being new on the team it's going to take a little extra time to get it down.

Elfein is expected back within the next few weeks and if he wasn't back before the regular season that would be a bit shocking. The rest of the offensive line is still in question and timetables have not been established.

The Vikings are fixing for a big year, but even a healthy offensive line could hold them back. If Cousins can't stay upright, there is going to be trouble in Minnesota, and the Super Bowl expectations might be dashed. This is something that can be worked out in the next few weeks of training camp, but there is no doubt it's a big storyline to watch.
