The Vikings have a pretty strong roster from top to bottom. With talent throughout the defensive side of the ball, as well as the skill positions, it could be easy for a young player to get lost. But that hasn't been the case for one newcomer.

Appearing on #PFTPM Wednesday, tight end Kyle Rudolph said that player was rookie first-round center Garrett Bradbury when asked what player has stood out the most so far in camp.

“I’d have to go with our rookie center,” Rudolph said. “Any time you draft a guy in the first round obviously there’s expectations for them to come in and contribute to your football team and help your team win. Garrett’s come in and he’s a phenomenal young guy. He’s really, really intelligent. But he’s a great athlete and he fits our scheme perfectly. Going up against guys like [defensive tackle] Linval Joseph is a pretty good barometer of how you’ll match up in this league and he’s more than held his own.”

This is all good news for a team that struggled to run the ball last season due to inconsistencies along the offensive line. The team was often criticized for relying on the passing game too often, with quarterback Kirk Cousins taking a few too many sacks in the process.

The Vikings faced plenty of adversity last year, but still managed an 8-7-1 record. With Bradbury spurring improvement on the offensive line, they could finish a lot better than that this season.
