The Minnesota Vikings have made wide receiver Laquon Treadwell available, per Sports Illustrated‘s Albert Breer. Breer notes:

“I’m told that, with the emergence of Chad Beebe, former first-round receiver Laquon Treadwell is available again. And while no one’s moving anything significant for him, maybe there’s a team out there that’s willing to give up the kind of Day 3 pick the Vikings just surrendered.”

A first-round pick out of Ole Miss in 2016, the 6-foot-2 Treadwell hasn't lived up to expectations in Minnesota. Alongside Adam Thielen and  Stefon Diggs, Treadwell was the third wide receiver option for Kirk Cousins in 2018. On the Vikings' preseason depth chart, Treadwell is the fifth receiver, behind Thielen, Diggs, Chad Beebe, and Jordan Taylor.

In three seasons of play, Treadwell has accumulated 56 receptions (61.5% catch rate) for 517 yards and a touchdown. In his rookie year, he played nine games; receiving one ball for 15 yards total. His best statistical season came in 2018 — as he played 15 games (started seven) and tallied 35 receptions for 302 yards and a score.

Chad Beebe, the son of Buffalo Bills legend Don, is now solidified as the third receiver on the depth chart. After going undrafted in 2018, he's impressed the Vikings' coaching staff, as head coach Mike Zimmer said early into training camp,

“Chad Beebe’s been doing a really nice job. He’s been playing some inside and some outside. He’s a guy that we found in one of the [undrafted rookie] workouts that has great acceleration… He’s a guy that doesn’t have to slow down out of his breaks. So he’s breaking full speed.”

With Beebe leapfrogging Treadwell, the Vikings don't see a need to carry him after declined his fifth-year option on May 1st.

While he hasn't worked out in Minnesota, he should warrant some interest considering his past draft status, age (24), and well-built frame (6-foot-2, 215-pounds). However, his lack of production severely hurts his trade value.

The Vikings made him available early into the offseason, but nothing came out of it.
