The Minnesota Vikings are still in the hunt for a new offensive coordinator after the departure of Pat Shurmur. They’ve already interviewed a handful of candidates like Darrell Bevell for the job.

But according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, they intend to conduct more interviews with prospective candidates, one of which will be working on Sunday at the Super Bowl.

President/co-owner Mark Wilf said more candidates could be interviewed for #Vikings offensive coordinator job. I'm told a name to keep an eye on is Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo. Vikings haven't talked to him but could interview him after Sunday's Super Bowl.

DeFilippo is in his second year as Eagles quarterbacks coach. He helped in the significant development of second-year quarterback Carson Wentz, who improved mightily this season as he threw for 33 touchdowns.

DeFilippo previously spent one year as the Browns offensive coordinator in 2015. That is his lone experience as an OC in the NFL level to date. He also interviewed for the Arizona Cardinals’ head coaching job a few weeks ago, but the Cards went with Steve Wilks.

There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Vikings’ offense, primarily because of the unclear quarterback situation. The team still has yet to decide whether to make Sam Bradford, Case Keenum, or Teddy Bridgewater their quarterback of the future.

However, the Vikings do have one of the better receiving duos in the league with second-team All-Pro Adam Thielen as well as Stefon Diggs providing capable weapons for the incoming offensive coordinator to work with.
