The Minnesota Vikings have somehow gone 0-2 to start the season and are preparing to play the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3. But, the Vikings might have to do it without star running back Dalvin Cook, who has now missed practice for the second day in a row.

Cook is dealing with an ankle injury and this trajectory is not a good sign for his status for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. In the event Cook is held out, Alexander Mattison would be next in line, although it seems more likely that the Vikings go with an air raid attack against the Seahawks in what should be a high-scoring game.

Cook headed to the injury tent against the Arizona Cardinals and this is a concerning sign for Mike Zimmer's squad. The Vikings lost in brutal fashion as Greg Joseph missed a field goal in the closing seconds. The week before, the Bengals defeated Minnesota in overtime in stunning fashion, and there is a high possibility the Vikings drop to 0-3, especially if Cook can't go on Sunday.

Friday's practice report will be important for Cook's status, but the fact he hasn't been able to go yet definitely shows which way he is likely headed for Sunday's tilt.
