The Minnesota Vikings have managed to add some solid pieces to their already formidable unit this offseason. Now it seems they are focused on shoring up some depth at a few positions.

It goes without saying that the Vikings boast one of the most talented receiving corps in the league. They managed to add to that by announcing their signing of former New York Giants wide receiver Tavarres King on Twitter:

King has become a bonafide journeyman after being taken in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He made stops with the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before settling in with the Giants prior to the 2015 season.

He was eventually promoted to a reserve role the following season; however, he saw little action up until last year. King was able to take full advantage of the sudden severe injuries to New York's best wideouts by registering 18 receptions on 37 targets for 303 yards and three touchdowns.

The Vikings have done what they can to help take their passing game to the next level. They kickstarted the offseason by winning the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes. The signing of Cousins is a clear sign that Minnesota has the highest of expectations next season.

They already possess a dynamic duo of wide receivers in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Although the verdict is still out on former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell, the Vikings added another solid option with the signing of Kendall Wright from the Chicago Bears.

That said, King may have an opportunity to capitalize on his career-year last season in Minnesota's new passing game.
